So the solution to racism is to make everyone the same? No thank you. I don't really have any studies or quotes to back this up, but my theory, (as ridiculous as it sounds I do believe it) is that as tolerance goes up, racism goes down. So by developing in our minds more understanding and tolerance of one another, we can exist in harmony, as opposed to your plan which is basically "we're all racist. we can't help it. let's all separate."

I think the reason diversity in schools makes people less satisfied their education is because the more "diverse" a school is the more people probably got in by affirmative action and the less white or west azn students there are the more crime there is on campus

I disagree. Most people around are already tolerant for the most part. They can put up with being around another race, but does that mean they actually interact with the other race and associate themselves directly with members of that other race? Seems to me that while the chances of it are increased with tolerance, it doesn't encourage it, and in fact, may increase self-segregate given any strong identification with a particular race. Clearly, integration is key; tolerance is merely the first step towards integration. While integration doesn't solve anything now, it does in the long term. It's sorta difficult to be racist consciously or subconsciously when your society and those in power are predominantly mixed. I'd imagine it'd still exist in some shape or form, but will be largely irrlevent compared to today. Unfortunately, that would require everyone to become the "same," or rather, adopt the same language, same main culture, same virtues and ideals, etc. This doesn't make everyone the "same," mind you, as individual differences will always prevail, but it'll, for the most part, unite people under a similar enough culture or whatever I mentioned. This is important for just about any society, in the present or past, for without this leads to many different tensions within that society.

integration does NOT have to mean being ALL the same cookie cutter copies. it does not have to mean you totally give up your origin or your heritage.

Of course not. Integraton means combining your heritage with the heritage of the society you're mixing into. Fact is, the US and Canada are predominantly white societies like it or not, and thus European culture, heritage, etc. will dominate. This is generally why proponents of multiculturalism will advocate less integration - for fear that the resulting culture will be predominantly European. They generally want to downplay on European culture and promote minority cultures artificially. Personally, I don't agree with any kind of ideas or actions which limit the interactions of members within a society. This means I disagree with both racism and multiculturalism. I'd prefer each individual regardless of race to quit seeing the races of others and attaching labels to that, and rather treat others as they'd treat any individual. If this were to ever occur, after two generations, there's no way racism could ever come back as our population would be too mixed to really allow it. Moreover, the resulting culture, while it would look predominantly European at first (though do keep in mind that non-European cultures would play a significant role in such a culture, too), is always subject to change. People who want to isolate themselves from that don't seem to recall how cultures change over time. Overall, I see such things as inevitable, but may hold back a generation or two. A free for all, without any kind of barriers or people trying to push what they think is "better," is the best way to go. That would give you the most natural and painless result.
